Happy New Year

We are lucky to have a great group of friends.  When Jason was in college he was part of the track team.  We have remained friends with his teammates and their wives and get together often throughout the year.  We all have young children and when we get together it is LOUD but fun.  In December at our annual adults-only Christmas party we all thought it would be fun to get together for a New Year's party too.  This time with our kids.  If I remember right we did it last year and after a while the kids fell asleep watching a movie. 

We  ate yummy appetizers (and other foods that are delicious but probably not good for you.) The kids played, everyone played a few rounds of Just Dance, and we visited and had a great time. But for some reason the kiddos never went to sleep.  Oh well, that's ok.  Alyssa wanted to make it until midnight and she did (so did Ian and Andrew too.)  Pretty much as soon as we all cheered for the New Year that was it for Andrew.  He was cranky and who could blame him, it was about 4 hours after his regular bed time. 

And after all that, can you believe we got up and still made it to 9:00 am church!  A good nap did us all good though after we got home.
