Alyssa Learning to Ride a Bike

Jason is leaving Monday for a few weeks (pre-deployment stuff) and we decided before he leaves to teach Alyssa to ride her bike. They worked on it last fall, but didn't have the time to master it before the weather turned cold. This afternoon we went to a school parking lot to see if we could make it happen.

At first she was extremely scared of falling and was letting this control her thoughts. She got extremely frustrated and this is what happened:

Sadly, I have to admit that this part of her personality comes from me, not Jason.
But after a rest and a change in technique (on my part at least) we finally made some progress:

Tomorrow after church we will go again because practice makes perfect.

Isn't that a challenge to master. Cam and I gave up on Kade, our oldest son, because he was consumed with fear. He actually didn't master it till he was almost 8!

That is such a sweet video--what a good dad Jason is! She is doing great!

I meant the second video (although the first is what we've been encountering).
