He's a Boy

For those of you who already haven't heard we found out over the weekend that our new little bundle of joy due in January will be a BOY! After explaining this to Alyssa she was a wee bit disappointed (she was really hoping for a girl.) Then she asked us how the doctor could tell it was a boy. We went on to explain that the doctor could see something between his legs. She exclaimed, "It had something between its legs?!" We had to be a bit more specific with her. Then she seemed to understand clearly.

After explaining to Ian more than once he finally looked at me and asked, "So a baby boy will come to our house, then he will grow up and play with me?" I said yes and then he responded by slapping his open hand to his forehead and exclaiming, "What?!" before he collapsed to the floor in a dramatic fashion.

Now...the search for the perfect name begins.
