Jason finally returned from his trip to Jordan on Saturday afternoon. He arrived in Texas late (after 23 hours of travel) because of mechanical problems on one of the airplanes. Here are some photos of his trip. There were a bunch more, but I just tried to include the most interesting. I've put captions below most of them according to what he has told me.

The catholic church seems to either own or have some sort of control over this site where they believe Jesus was baptized. Currently the water is diverted from this part of the river while the Catholic church is doing some construction on the site. The little pool of water on the right is the spot in the river where they believe Jesus was baptized, how they would prove that, I don't know. It is kind of interesting anyway.

Those are awesome pictures! I'm sure that was a trip of a lifetime for Jason. Brandon went to Israel when we graduated from high school, but it's been too dangerous to ever consider going back. It really is amazing that Jason went there. By the way, normally he looks like nice, friendly Jason, but the picture with the gun was a bit intimidating!
